VISION
The vision of Prairie Christian Academy (P.C.A.) is
to provide a high quality learning experience in a safe
Christian environment. We believe that in order to
succeed in life, a child must be given a solid
foundation in both academic learning and in character
development. It is our goal to ensure that success.
Along with academic excellence, as a Christian school,
we strive to teach by example and impart Godly
characteristics to our students.
HISTORY
Prairie Christian Academy was founded in 1981 and is
an integral part of the vision of Faith Alive Family
Church to minister to families and help them train their
children and “bring them up in the nurture and
admonition of the Lord.” The school serves to work in
cooperation with parents as a vital link in educating
children in Christian principles.
"The
fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge…
(wisdom)." Proverbs 1:7a
TESTIMONY
"I am going to tell you about how I was doing in
school before I came to Prairie Christian Academy.
From what I can remember, my average was not ever above
50%, which I didn't really care about because it was
only elementary school. I was so close to failing grade
8, but my teacher told me that if I did my assignments,
he would pass me. So I worked and worked and finally
finished them. After I was done, I realized that I
didn’t take the time to learn and just rushed through
them so I wouldn't fail. Most of those assignments were
in Math and English. It took me forever to get them done
because those were two subjects I really struggled in.
Then I hit grade 9 and I couldn't slack off, because I
knew school meant something now since we were getting
credits. I started the year off in public school and
then was sponsored to come to P.C.A.
When I first came here, they gave me Diagnostic Tests in
Math and English. After I took them, I found out that I
was at a grade 7 level in both subjects. Since I've been
here, I no longer struggle in those subjects, because
through the A.C.E. system, they make sure you learn and
understand everything. My average has gone from 50% to
80%."
